Muscogee County Jail Visitation Rules

**Anyone bringing contraband across the guard line will be prosecuted.**

Visitation Rules:

Visitors must be listed on the inmate's visitor list in order to visit and must make an appointment at least one day in advance to schedule a visit.

Appointments can be made in person at the jail during visitation hours or by calling 706-225-4563 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM during the week and from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the weekends.

* There will be no visitation on Columbus Consolidated Government holidays.

Persons under the age of 17 who are immediate family members of an inmate and accompanied by a Parent or Guardian that is on the inmate's visitor list may visit Monday through Friday after 5:00 PM and on Saturdays and Sundays ONLY.

Visitors must have a valid picture ID in order to visit.
Visitors must be modestly dressed in order to visit.
Visitors who are loud, profane, unruly, etc. will be instructed to leave and may be restricted from future visits.

Telephone Calls: Inmates may not receive telephone calls or messages.

Mail: Inmates may receive letters and money orders. Stamps, or envelopes will not be accepted. Packages will not be accepted without prior approval of the Warden.

Jail Commissary: An outside contractor provides a commissary at the jail and provides inmates the opportunity to purchase toiletries, food items, and letter writing materials.

Inmate Account: Inmates may receive funds via cash only kiosks located in the jail lobby, via JPay at (800) 574-5729 or through JPay.com.

Tobacco Products: The Muscogee County Jail is a "tobacco free" facility. No smoking or tobacco products are allowed in the building.
