Administrative Bureau - Major Randy Robertson

Major W.R. “Randy” Robertson began his career in 1985 with the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office as a Jailor assigned to the Muscogee County Jail. During his tenure he has worked in all bureaus of the agency and is currently assigned to the Administrative Bureau.

About the Administrative Bureau

The Administrative Bureau includes the Training Division, Human Resources, Budget/Finance, Homeland Security, Credentialing, Community Relations and the Criminal and Civil Administrative Sections.

Major Robertson is responsible for the operation of the Administrative Bureau and it’s various components. Captain Larry Tew assists in overseeing the daily operations of the Bureau in addition to handling recruitment and hiring. Lieutenant Brad Hicks is assigned as the Director of Homeland Security and coordinates with other agencies on matters of Homeland Security. Lieutenant Mike Daily is responsible for the Training Division, which provides training for over 400 agency employees. Sergeant Grace Boone is the Civil Administrative Section Supervisor and Sergeant Kathy Bailey is the Supervisor over the Criminal Administrative Section. Sergeant Henry Edwards oversees operation of the bonding companies and handles FiFa’s.

The Administrative Bureau works as a hub for the Sheriff’s Office. All incoming civil process and criminal warrants are received and processed through the Administrative Bureau. This Bureau also provides administrative support to the various bureaus within the Sheriff’s Office.

Training

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Training Division is responsible for providing training for over 400 employees of the agency. The Training Division provides both basic and advanced training courses. Each year all sworn officers are required to obtain a minimum of twenty hours of in-service training. County Jail Officers are required to have a minimum of forty hours of in-service training.

The Training Division also provides regular training for the Sheriff’s Special Response Team and the Correctional Emergency Response Team.
