Lakebottom Improvements

A federal transportation enhancement grant provided 80% of the funding for the recently completed improvements on the Lakebottom Walking Trail. The City provided 20% matching funds. Enhancements include:

• 10 new park benches and trash receptacles,
  
• Replacement of 2 inches of compacted M-10 screening were laid over the entire 2 1/2 mile walking trail,
  
• Over 2000 linear feet of treated lumber was replaced for M-10 edging,
  
• 8 new handicapped rams to increase accessibility,
  
• 100 linear feet of curb work.
