The Participation Plan (PP) is intended to provide a guideline for public involvement activities to be conducted by the Columbus Consolidated Government Planning Department. The plan is intended to identify a proactive public involvement process for the planning activities of the Columbus-Phenix City Transportation Study (CPCTS). It is also intended to enhance decision-making and to ensure that residents of Columbus, Georgia, Phenix City, Alabama and surrounding areas are invited and encouraged to participate in the transportation planning process.
The PP contains goals, objectives and policies of the public involvement process. The purpose of this handbook is to provide guidelines for the evaluation of the public involvement techniques.
