OXBOW SUPPORT FACILITY

The Community Support Facilities at Oxbow Meadows was built as part of the 1999 Special Local Option Sales Tax in partnership with the Columbus Water Works. The dog park is free for public use and will include separate facilities for small and large dogs. Citizens interested in renting the pavilion can contact Parks and Recreation at (706) 225-4658 for hourly rates.

DOG PARK
The dog park is separated into two fields, one for larger dogs over 30 lbs. and another section for smaller dogs under 30 lbs. For the safety and enjoyment of all dogs and their owners, we strongly advise guests to follow the dog park rules at all times.

DOG PARK RULES
  • USE THE DOG PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK.
  • Owners are responsible for the actions of their dogs.
  • All rules are enforced by the law.
  • Dogs must display current rabies tags.
  • Dogs must be under voice command.
  • Remove your dog's waste immediately using trash receptical.
  • Fill in all holes made by your dog.
  • Limit of 3 dogs per owner.
  • Unruly dogs must be short leashed immediately.
  • Keep all gates closed.

THE FOLLOWING ARE PROHIBITED:

  • Aggressive dogs.
  • Dogs in heat.
  • Unsupervised and/or running children.
  • Glass containers.
  • Unattended dogs.
  • Spike or pinch/prong collars.
  • Dogs with contageous disease(s).
  • Alcohol and tobacco products.
  • Other recreational use.
  • Commercial activity/professional training.
THE ONLY FOOD ALLOWED IS BITE SIZED TREATS. SERIOUS PROBLEMS RESULTING IN INJURY MUST BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY.

 

FESTIVAL FIELD RULES

THE FOLLOWING ARE PROHIBITED:

  • Smoking.
  • Open flames of any kind. Including fires on or in the ground and charcoal or gas fired grills.
  • Excavation of any type. Including the digging of holes, post holes or fire pits.
  • The operation of vehicles off the designated roadways. Including go karts, motorcycles, off road vehicles or any other vehicle except such limited traffic as may be necessary to set up and take down for a scheduled festival activity.
  • The temporary erection of any tent or temporary structure enclosed on more than two sides.
  • The use of stakes or anchors driven into the ground.
