Holiday Service Schedule

The Columbus Consolidated Government will alter or suspend all services on Monday, January 17, 2011. This is with the exception of emergency services such as fire, police, and ambulance.

Below is the garbage collection schedule for the week of January 16, 2011. Normal garbage and recycling pickup will resume on Monday, January 24, 2011.

Other altered or suspended services:

  • Metra bus service will be suspended.
  • Landfills:
    • Granite Bluff: Will be open Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2011.
    • Pine Grove: Will be open Saturday, Janaury 15, 2011 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2011.
    • Oxbow Meadows: Will be closed Saturday, January 15 and Monday, January 17, 2011.
  • Animal Control will open on Saturday, January 15 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but will be closed Monday, January 17.
  • Recorder's Court will have 8:00 AM sessions only on Monday, January 17.

All regular services and normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, with the exception of garbage collection. Normal garbage collection will resume on Thursday, January 20, 2011.
