CPAT Information
Prior becoming a Columbus Firefighter you must pass the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). The CPAT has eight events, they are as follows: Stair Climb, Hose Drag, Equipment Carry, Ladder Raise and Extension, Forcible Entry, Search, Rescue and Ceiling Breach and Pull. Below you will find an orientation guide, a CPAT video, a layout of the CPAT course and a CPAT training guide that will be helpful in preparing for the CPAT.
