Dear Vendor:
As a registered vendor with Columbus Consolidated Government (The City of Columbus, Georgia), this letter is to inform you of the equipment/supplies and services scheduled to bid during the upcoming FY10 fiscal year (July 1, 2009-June 30, 2010). Please follow the website links, shown below, to see the listing of Annual Contracts and Capital Equipment/Services scheduled to bid during FY10:
A. ANNUAL CONTRACT LISTING: A listing of Annual Contracts due for re-bid during FY10 is located on the following web page: http://www.columbusga.org/finance/Rebid_Annual_Contracts.htm. This listing is only those annual contracts which are scheduled for re-bid during the FY10 time frame.
For future reference, please review the listing of ALL Annual Contracts, with the expiration date and assigned Buyer which appears on the Purchasing Webpage at http://www.columbusga.org/finance/Current_Annual_Contracts.htm
You may contact the assigned Buyer with questions regarding annual contracts.
B. FY10 APPROVED CAPITAL EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES: A listing of all capital equipment/supplies approved for FY10 is located on the following web page: http://www.columbusga.org/finance/Capital_Schedule.htm . The items are listed in the month anticipated for bid release. This list is subject to change. Vendors should periodically check the Purchasing website for bid advertisements.
YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A MAILED INVITATION FOR THE SOLICITATIONS LISTED ON THE WEBSITES SHOWN ABOVE. However, invitations will be mailed to vendors under the following conditions: a) When new solicitations are added to this list after publication; b) When the solicitation involves specialized equipment or services; and c) When there is no vendor response to an initial solicitation advertisement.
The following resources are available for vendors to use to inform themselves of Bid/RFP opportunities:
1. LEGAL ADVERTISEMENTS: Solicitations will be advertised in the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer (The City’s legal organ) on the following specific days: WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS. Solicitations will be advertised once, except when further advertisement is required by Georgia State Law. Advertisements in The Columbus Times and The Courier will be advertised, as available, on a weekly basis.
2. CITY’S WEB SITE: Solicitations are advertised on the City’s Website. Full specifications will be published on the Internet, whenever possible. (Website Address: www.columbusga.org/finance/proposals.htm)
3. 24-HOUR TELEPHONIC BIDLINE: A 24-Hour Telephonic BidLine (telephone line dedicated to announce advertised solicitations) will be available to inform bidders of bid opportunities. The BidLine number is 706-225-4536. The BidLine recording is updated each Friday. Vendors will be able to call at any time to find out about bid opportunities. Advertised solicitations will be announced on the BidLine until their due date.
