As a registered Georgia voter you may vote from any location around the globe. Whether you are in the armed services or on a business trip, you may use the information contained on this web page to find out how to cast your vote in an upcoming election.
The Federal Postcard Application (FPCA) is the universal form used for registration and absentee ballot requests. Applications may be submitted to your county of permanent residence up to 180 days prior to a primary or election in which a federal candidate appears on the ballot.
The Elections Office will mail the ballots approximately 45 days prior to an election day. Along with your absentee ballot, you will also receive a State Write-In Ballot (SWAB), to be used in case of a runoff election (you will not receive another ballot for a runoff election). The ballots will be mailed to the address you give on your application. If the address listed on your application changes due to reassignment or if you return to the states, you will need to update your voter registration by contacting your county election office.
Once you have completed your absentee ballot, you must mail them back to the Muscogee County Elections Office (ATN: Elections and Registration Office, P.O. Box 1340, Columbus, GA 31902-1340). Absentee ballots will be accepted up to 3 days after an election, if postmarked by Election Day.

If you will be out of Muscogee or cannot get to your polling place on Election Day, you may cast your vote with an absentee ballot.
