Georgia law requires some form of identification when voting in person. On this page you will find the forms of identification that the State of Georgia will accept at the polling place. If you don't have one of the listed forms of identification, you may get a free Voter Identification Card from our Elections Office.
Georgia law (O.C.G.A § 21-2-417) requires residents to show photo identification when voting in person. Below are the six forms of ID accepted by the State of Georgia.
The State of Georgia offers a FREE Voter Identification Card. You may obtain an identification card at the Muscogee County Elections & Registration Office free of charge. To receive a voter identification card, you must provide the follow items:
