This website has been established to help voters in the Muscogee County area find information about upcoming elections, elected officials and answers to frequently asked questions. Listed below are quick links to a few of the most requested pages on the Elections' website. This board was established for the purpose of carrying out the duties heretofore exercised by the Muscogee County Board of Elections and the Muscogee County Board of Registrars and which have the powers relating to the conduct of elections a primaries and the registration for voters and absentee balloting procedures that are provide for in the laws of Georgia. It has five members, consisting of one each from the two major political parties and three appointed by the Columbus Council. (Act No. 149 (H. B. 941) signed into law by the Governor on April 4, 1991) Its executive director is also appointed by the Columbus Council.

Moved Board Meeting Notice

The Muscogee County Board of Elections will hold its next monthly board meeting on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The meeting will take place at 3111 Citizens Way in the Council Chambers.

Audit Notice

The Muscogee County Board of Elections will conduct an audit for the June 16, 2026, General Primary Runoff election beginning Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The audit will take place at 3111 Citizens Way in Council Chambers.

Recount Notice

The Muscogee County Board of Elections will conduct the statewide recount for the May 19, 2026, General Primary election in the Republican Public Service Commissioner District 3 race beginning Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The recount will take place at 3111 Citizens Way in Council Chambers.

Logic and Accuracy Testing Delayed

June 1,2026

The Muscogee County Board of Elections Logic and Accuracy testing of the voting equipment scheduled to begin June 1, 2026 has been delayed until ballots and databases are received.

Election News

  • All Board of Elections Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 2:00 pm in the Council Chambers. If for some reason the day changes, an announcement will be faxed to the Legal Organ and posted under the "Notices" tab found at columbusga.org/elections
