RESPONSIBILITIES
The Deputy City Manager of Planning/Development's responsibilities are to
assist the City Manager in the execution of his assigned duties, to
emphasize future planning and development for the Columbus Consolidated
Government; and to oversee the Departments of Community/Economic Development
and Engineering. The primary functions of these departments are planning and coordinating the
efforts to improve our community and assisting in the planning to sustain
and expand current industry while also recruiting new industry for the community.
Additional functions are planning and coordinating the maintenance of the current infrastructure
and planning for future infrastructure improvements.
