  • Visitors must be listed on the inmate’s visitor list in order to visit.
  • Visitors must make an appointment at least one day in advance to schedule a visit.
  • Appointments can be made in person at the visitation control station located in the lobby of the detention facility during visitation hours or by calling the visitation appointment number (706-225-4563) from 9am to 6pm during the week and from 9am to 3pm on the weekends. Note: There will be no visitation on Columbus Consolidated Government holidays, click here for a list of holidays.
  • The visitation appointment number is (706) 225-4563. Visitation appointments cannot be made by calling the main detention facility number.
  • Visitors must have a valid picture ID in order to visit.
  • Persons under the age of 17 will not be allowed to visit. Visitors must be modestly dressed in order to visit. (No halter-tops, short shorts, bathing suits, etc.)

Telephone Calls: Inmates may not receive telephone calls or messages.

Inmates may receive letters and money orders. Stamps, or envelopes will not be accepted. Packages will not be accepted without prior approval of the Warden.

Detention Facility Commissary: An outside contractor provides a commissary at the detention facility and provides inmates the opportunity to purchase toiletries, food items, and letter writing materials.

Inmate Account: Inmates may receive money orders, government checks, and/or cashiers checks through the mail, the telephone (the toll-free number is 888-888-8413), the internet (money transfer link below) or at the lobby kiosk located in the administrative section of the detention facility, all of these options are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
