Q. How are judgments and warrants delivered?
A. Money Judgments require personal service by a Deputy Marshal or Deputy Sheriff. A regular Dispossessory Warrant can be tacked to a door of the residence, office or other building. It can also be mailed via the U.S. Mail.
Q. What is the difference between a Dispossessory Warrant and a Money Judgment?
A. A Dispossessory Warrant allows for the removal of a tenant and their property. A money judgment can allow for both the removal of the tenant and the collection of back rent owed by the tenant.
