The Human Resources Department recruits and refers applicants for available openings, conducts pre-employment checks to include drug test, criminal history and reference checks; however the hiring department is responsible for interviewing and selecting candidates. To apply for a position with the City of Columbus you must submit an Application for Employment for the position for which you are applying. The position must be clearly stated on the application and must be a current job announcement.
