The CCG is
pleased to be able to offer our employees this wonderful benefit.
We have joined over 100 companies within our community and
established a partnership with the Pastoral Institute's Business
Resource Center to offer their EAP.
This program offers six free counseling sessions on an annual basis
to all of our full time regular employees at no cost to the
employee. The Pastoral Institute also offers a variety of Life
Enrichment courses that may be substituted for the six free
counseling
sessions.
Because of the nature of this EAP all who visit the Pastoral
Institute may find comfort in knowing that all visits are held in
strict confidence.

An employee benefit... |
|
When life gets tough and
things seem out-of-balance, it's helpful to talk about our struggles
with someone who is objective and experienced - someone who can help
us fine the way to a good and sensible solution. |

EVERYONE NEEDS HELP ONCE IN A
WHILE
The EAP provides professional, confidential counseling services
to help you resolve personal and family problems before they affect
your relationships, job performance and health. To find out
what your specific benefit is, check your employee handbook or talk
with your human resource manager.
|
Your
company provides you with the opportunity to talk with a
professional counselor through the Pastoral Institute's Employee
Assistance Program (EAP). No issue is too small or too serious
for you to seek help. You talk to a counselor about:
 |
• Marital and
personal relationships
• Financial problems
• Problems balancing work and family
responsibilities
• Child or elder issues
• Stress, anxiety, and depression
• Alcohol and drug abuse
• Domestic violence and anger
• Divorce/Remarriage/Step-parenting
...or anything else that prevents you from being or doing your
best.
Is the EAP confidential?
Absolutely! Your participation in counseling will be
treated confidentially in accordance with state and federal laws.
|
| |
Will the EAP cost
anything?
Your company pays for a number of EAP counseling sessions so
there is no charge for those visits. However, if you exhaust
your EAP benefits and are on your company's insurance plan, you may
then use your insurance coverage, if applicable. If you are
not in the insurance plan, you may self pay.
What are the qualifications of the counselors?
Counselors are licensed, certified and experienced mental health
professionals. They may be psychologist, social workers,
marriage and family therapists, addictions counselors, licensed
professional counselors or pastoral counselors.
Are my dependants covered under this benefit?
Most employers provide EAP benefits for dependants. Check
with your human resource manager to see if this benefit is available
through your company.
What if I have a crisis when you are not open?
Counselors are on-call 24-hours a day, seven days a week to help
you in emergencies. In the Columbus area, call (706) 649-6500.
Outside Columbus, call the counseling center with whom you have a
relationship or our office at 800-649-6446.
