Born in Columbus, Georgia, March 3, 1919; educated in public schools of Columbus; graduate of Columbus High School (1932); graduate of the University of Georgia, Lumpkin School of Law (1938); and admitted to the Bar in 1938. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant Cavalry, 1937.

As a student at UGA, he was Vice-President of the Inter fraternity Council, Blue Key Honorary Society, Scabbard and Blade Military Society, Captain of the Tennis Team, and coach the freshmen tennis team without compensation in 1938.

He volunteered for the U.S. Army in the summer of 1940. He entered service as a Lieutenant and separated from the service in 1946 as a Lieutenant Colonel, Cavalry; was Combat Operations Officer of the 3rd U.S. Cavalry in General Patton's Army in four (4) major campaigns in Europe, i.e., Northern France, Central Europe, Ardennes and Rhineland, and was decorated for same.

In 1978 he was cited by the City of Bettembourg, Luxemburg, for his service in the liberation of Luxemburg while with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment.

In 1982 he was honored by the United States Holocaust Memorial Commission as a Official Liberator of the Concentration Camp at Ebensee, Austria in 1945.

Retired from the U.S. Army Reserve with the rank of Colonel after 27 years service, active and inactive. Graduated from the Infantry School, Command and General Staff College, the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and attended Cavalry School. He resumed the practice of law in 1946.

In 1983, Georgia Legislators, both the Senate and House of Representatives, passed resolutions honoring and commending him for his distinguished service to the State of Georgia; and he was the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Merit Award awarded annually to two or three distinguished alumni of the University of Georgia.

Warner L. Kennon, born in Emory University, Georgia, September 18, 1953; admitted to bar, 1979, Georgia; 1980, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Georgia.

Education: Received his B.B.A. in 1976 and J.D. in 1979; Member of the National Panel of Construction Arbitrators, American Arbitration Association, since 1987; Guardian Ad Litem, Juvenile Court Columbus, from 1989-1994; Guardian, Muscogee County, since 1989; President of the Mental Health Association of Columbus, Georgia, 1990-1992; President of the Chattahoochee Bar Association, 1994-1995; Associate Judge of Juvenile Court of Columbus, 1994-2002; Member of the Board of Directors, Boys Club of Columbus, 1996-2000; Judge of the Drug Court of Columbus, Georgia, since 2000; Chairman of the Education and Certification Committee; Georgia Council of Juvenile Court Judges 2001-2003; Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit of Juvenile Court, since 2002; Executive Committee of the Georgia Council of Juvenile Court Judges since 2003; President of the Columbus Bar Association, 2004-2005; Member of Leadership Columbus Alumni; Georgia State Liaison for Membership, National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges; Member of the Columbus and Chattahoochee Bar Associations; State Bar of Georgia; Georgia Council of Juvenile Court Judges; National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.

He established a law firm in 1981 in Columbus, Georgia.
