NOTICE of PUBLIC HEARING
Columbus Consolidated Government
The Department of Community Reinvestment of the Columbus Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia is holding a Public Hearing to receive citizen comments on the drafts of the FFY 2012-2016 Consolidated Plan, FY 2012 Annual Action Plan, and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. The Consolidated Plan is a document required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that outlines the City’s plans for the allocation of its Entitlement Funds (CDBG, HOME) for the next five year period beginning July 1, 2011 and the Annual Action Plan will outline the City’s plans for the allocations of entitlement funds for the upcoming fiscal year. The Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice is a HUD-required document that identifies any public or private sector impediments to fair housing and sets forth recommendations on how Columbus Consolidated Government can overcome those impediments.
The Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011; 6:00 p.m. at the Government Center Annex Building, 420 10th Street. The public is invited to attend and to offer comments related to the Drafts.
The drafts of the Consolidated Plan, Annual Action Plan, and Analysis of Impediments will remain available for a 30-day Public Comment Period. The Public Comment Period will begin April 7, 2011 and will end May 7, 2011. Copies of the Drafts are available for review at the following locations:
