Prior to entering office, Ms. Pierce’s career included service as a Captain in the United States Air Force, District Aide for two Georgia Congressmen, along with being a member of the Georgia Bar, Ms. Pierce is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, the Metropolitan Court Clerks Association of Georgia, the National Association of Court Management, the Superior Court Clerks Association of Georgia, the Council of Superior Court Clerks of Georgia, the County Officers Association of Georgia, the Muscogee Rotary Club, the Network for Professionals & Executives, American Legion Post 35, the Columbus Board of Realtors and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, among others. She is the President of the Metropolitan Court Clerks Association of Georgia and has served as officer and committee member for many of the above organizations. In the past, Ms. Pierce served as the first woman appointed to the Columbus Board of Health and has served on the Columbus Urban League Board, the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, the Beyond 2000 Project, and as a volunteer for the Columbus Greater Sports & Events Council.
